About This Design
A single-slope roof, LP SmartSide, and a metal roof give this coop a modern silhouette that sits well against a fence or garage wall. The 120-square-foot interior supports twelve hens at 4 square feet each, with a 32-inch clean-out door on the end wall and a high window on the side.
The coop modules are in the plan: a four-bay nesting box bank with an exterior lift-up lid, 160 linear inches of stepped roost on the opposite wall, a 16-inch pop door with a cleated ramp, and a continuous hardware-cloth vent along the high edge of the roof sized to the floor area. Fence a run off the pop door, or step to a run plan if you want it framed in.

Build Notes
Frame the tall wall and short wall to the drawn heights, then set the mono-slope rafters. Cut the nest-bank and pop-door rough openings from the wall drawings before the SmartSide goes on. The nest bank hangs on the studs at an 18-inch sill; roosts are removable 2×4s on cleats stepped up the wall opposite the nests.
On a lean-to the vent runs along the high eave; screen it with ½-inch hardware cloth before the trim closes it. Use a slide-bolt on the pop door. No run is framed in this plan.

Best when the coop should sit against a fence, garage, or property line and you want a modern single-slope look for up to 12 hens. Fence a separate run, or compare the 8×12 and 12×20 coop-with-run plans if you want the day yard framed under the same roof.
